Well now they finally took the truck to work on it. The poor fella went over the list of write ups and just shook his head. He said this is exactly why they are getting rid of them because everything on the trucks is breaking!
We will see what they can fix, it looks like Monday we will be taking a trip to the dealer to get the air conditioner recall addressed.
Who knows what is in our future, other than I am just sitting around bored outta my skull. Salt Lake City has a major problem renting me a car, it seems they are the only city who requires you to be a resident in order to rent a vehicle…..if you use a debit card. Any other city, I can rent a car with no problems…go figure.

What’s the deal with not renting to you with a debit card? They put a hold of at least $500 on your account when you use one. It’s not like they are not going to get their money.
well, see, yeah, everybody does exactly that. With both Budget and Avis in SLC, they want a minimum of $1500 deposit, recent utility bill, and I would be required to purchase every insurance item they offer…..in other words, they don’t want to rent a vehicle to me lol
Everywhere else, I can rent online, pick it up, and all they do is hold $400 until I return the vehicle.
dey shud keepz it simple ‘n jess say dey nawt rent tu yoo ina milyun yeerz!!!
I’ve noticed that too, Steve. Tried to rent a car here in Charlotte to drive around for the weekend while I did some work under the hood of my car. Played the “game” with a couple agencies, then just went to the airport and pretended I was coming in from a flight. Got a car, but still had to play a few games. I think the companies are getting a little shy about letting their cars out cause people have trashed them. Either way, they are going to lose a lot of business.
Yeah, I can see some of the rules and why, but when I have a Budget Rewards card, and FastBreak card from Budget, and they can look at the dates and records of every vehicle I rented across the country, you would think they could get an idea that I wont be a problem to them…..
Just came from SLC. Had to rent a car for the weekend. I NEVER use my credit card except to rent cars.
