If you haven’t been there yet, visit FastLane autos at 370 and first Capital, lots of old expensive cars. I’m just about 18 miles from you but have to go to work.

correction: Dumas. (Braum’s ice cream is in Dumas, not Dalhart,) although I have driven through both towns last November.

lucky thing speed limit goes up to 70 mph in Texas, only other state where you can drive 70 on a two lane road is Nevada. Montana allows 70 as well but for trucks, it’s only 60. 5 lower for nighttime driving for both classes of vehicles in MT. Thank goodness 75 is now legal on I-40 in the TX panhandle, and that night time speed limits are history in Texas. It’s about time. I have personally driven at least that speed myself on I-40 to and from Amarillo back in October 2010 when the speed limit was 70/NIGHT: 65
